This past month I finished six books! I did way better than I thought! My reading habits felt a little off too me this month for some reason. Most of the time I didn't feel like reading.
This year I had three Thanksgiving dinners to go too. Needless to say, I was very stuffed.
Books Read:
Favorite Book:
The How and the Why by Cynthia Hand. This book was beautiful inside and out. It's easily one of my new favorite books. I still cannot stop thinking about it.
Biggest Letdown:
The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton. I DNF this book this month. There were way too many characters to keep track of. Plus, I was so unbelievably bored. This totally bummed me out considering that I had been looking forward to reading this book for a while. I just could not get into it. The plot was super slow. Here is a fine example of hyped books not always being that great.

December Releases I am Excited For:
Songs Of The Month:
Save Us from Ourselves - Digital Daggers
I am watching the final season of Orange Is The New Black and it's so good. I don't want this show to be over so I am trying not to binge it like crazy.
Movies:
On Thanksgiving, I went to the movies with my family to see the new movie A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. Tom Hanks portrayed Mr. Rogers very well. It was a heartwarming movie.
I rewatched the movie The Waitress. I hadn't seen it in a while and with all the pie that I was baking over Thanksgiving... I thought it was fitting to watch. It's such a good movie. Be warned it will make you crave all things pie.
Product:
Lypsyl sent me two complementary products of their chapstick to try and I am obsessed! It's so minty and tingly when you put it on. My chapped lips instantly went away. This is my new go-to lip balm. "Created with pure Swedish beeswax, natural shea butter, coconut oil, and vitamins A and E for long-lasting, deep-penetrating moisture and lip care protection. Lypsyl Intense Protection helps moisturize, soften and protect your lips naturally. The unique one-hand slide allows for quick application. And the oversized application tip ensures this ultra-light formula spreads evenly for better lip coverage."
Well, there you have it! That was the month of November. Nothing too exciting went on but it was still a good month. Now onto Christmas planning. December is always a crazy month of activities within my family. My mom already sent out the itinerary lol. Yes, my family has a holiday itinerary of all the activities that are ensuing. It makes me laugh thinking about it.
How was your reading month? What did you read? What fun things did you do in November? How was your Thanksgiving? I would love to know in the comments down below. Have a wonderful start to a new month. Pretty soon it will be a new year!

Great post! This is such an inclusive list, and I love it! November sounds like it was great overall. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by!
DeleteI’ve thought about moving to Arizona, but I don’t think I could handle the heat. Colorado is hot enough for me. I hope you have a great December and enjoy your itinerary!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Yeah, my family kinda goes overboard with Christmas... I don't participate in everything but it's still fun. The heat in Arizona is absolutely horrible! If you visit for sure come in the winter. I love Colorado!! Have a wonderful month too.
DeleteI want to see the Mr. Rogers movie. It's always sad when a book you are so looking forward to doesn't pan out. See what I read in November at Girl Who Reads
ReplyDeleteI will for sure check your blog out. Thanks for stopping by. You have to see the movie. It's so good.
DeleteAs a Tom Hanks fan, as well as Mr. Rogers, I want to see that movie too and maybe after Christmas I can find the time to go. I have visited AZ twice, both times during the summer, and know how hot it gets. We either spent our time in the deep end of the pool or in the AC. AZ is high on my winter "retirement" home wishes. I now really want to read the Cynthia Hand book you loved, especially since you still think about it. Those are the best books. Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteYou totally should pick up Cynthia Hand's new book it's amazing. Yeah, summer in Arizona isn't fun. Thank god for AC! It's wonderful in the winter tho.
