Holy moly did August just fly right by! This year is going by extremely fast or is it just me? I had an amazing reading month. I completed seven books. Next month, I am going back home to Pennsylvania for at least two weeks to help my Grandma out. She is getting knee surgery. My Grandfather can't drive anymore so I will be driving him around. Going to the grocery store etc.
I am excited to get out of the Arizona heat. Your girl loves the east coast. Maybe one day, I can move back. I am taking my dog on the airplane for the first time. Hopefully, she does okay. Gotta go to the vet and get something to calm her down. Thankfully, I am able to have her on my lap with me. Tinkerbell is going to love all the grass and walks I plan to take her on. Your girl is also going to devour my Grandpa's potato garden! 😂Potatoes are my favorite food after all.
This month, I went to the Kacey Musgraves concert. She is beyond amazing live! Her voice sounds exactly like her cd. Hopefully, I can see her again sometime. Not much else happened this month.
Books I read:
Favorite Book:
It's Not Me, It's You by Stephanie Kate Strohm. I found this book by accident and instantly fell in love. The audiobook had a full cast which made the experience even better. Please, if you read this book listen to the audiobook! This book was beyond cute and exactly what I was in the mood for.
Biggest Letdown:
The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy. I had been looking forward to reading this thriller for a while. The concept of a mommy group gone wrong seriously interested me. However, I was quite bored while reading this book. I didn't care for the characters or the outcome. It just felt blah to me. I don't understand the hype around this book. The cover is beautiful though.
Songs of the month:
The 1975 - I always wanna die (sometimes)
Can't Go Back - Little Big Town
Tv shows:
I watched Younger season six and loved every minute of it. This show makes me smile.
Bachelor In Paradise
My guilty pleasure, Bachelor Nation!
I binged watched all of season three of Glow in one night. Now, I have to wait an entire year for more episodes! 😢It's so good that I couldn't contain myself. Why are there only ten episodes?
Movies:
I rewatched an oldie but goodie. Mars Attacks, I hadn't seen it in a really long time and I forgot how hilarious this movie is.
I also rewatched Bedazzled. Another equally hilarious movie. If you haven't seen it, I recommend that you do. It also has a touching story.
Product:
I received this product for free from Olay and I adore it. I have super sensitive skin so this moisturizer is perfect for me. I detest oily moisturizers and sunscreen so when this came to me with SPF in it... I was super excited to give it a try and thank god I did! Your girl will be an avid user of this gem. Everything I need in one bottle. Great for when you live in the desert like me! You don't need much product when applying it so this one bottle will last you a long time.
I hope you all had an amazing month and got some reading done. What were your favorites this month? Are you watching any good shows right now? I would love to know all about your favorites down in the comments below.
xoxo,

You too hun! Thanks for reading. It was one of the better months for sure. I am so glad it's getting into the fall.
DeleteHope you have a wonderful trip to Pennsylvania---wish it wasn't because your grandpa needs surgery, but at least you'll get to visit with him. Love your new pic on your sidebar, by the way. :-)

Thanks girl! My grandma is the one that needs surgery... I will just be an uber for my grandpa. He can't drive anymore.
DeleteOh, yes---I see that I read that wrong. Either way, glad you get to visit them, and it's sweet of you to help them out. :-)

Yeah, I am the only one in the family that can.
DeleteCongrats on finishing 7 books, and good luck with bringing the dog on a plane. My little dog died last year, but I brought her on a plane when she was a puppy, and she did amazing. She mostly just slept. I hope you have a good September!

Thanks girl! Yeah, I am hoping mine will just sleep too. Gonna get her some drowsy meds from the vet before I go to calm her down. Sorry to hear about your pup :/ Time to get a new one?
DeleteNice reading month. Hope your doggie does well on the plane and your have a nice visit.
ReplyDeleteAw thank you so much! Thanks for stopping by. I am sure she will be fine. She is with me after all.
DeleteTinkerbell is going on a trip!!! She's really a lovely baby! I also love potatoes.
ReplyDeleteShe is going to love all the grass compared to the desert! She's only ever been to California other than Arizona and that was in the car. We will see how she does on the plane.
DeleteThis year is flying by for me as well! I feel like it was June yesterday! Eek!!
ReplyDeleteTell me about it! I am happy it's getting to be fall tho. It's my favorite time of year.
DeleteYes, this year is flying by! I hope your Grandma's knee surgery went well! That is so awesome that you can go and help out. I'm almost out of my daily moisturizer, so thanks for the rec for sensitive skin!
ReplyDeleteIt's an amazing moisturizer! So lightweight. I always have good skin recommendations if you need them. I have super sensitive skin personally so most of them work for other people who have the same problem because if my skin tolerates it and it's so picky it works for most people too. Her surgery is next week :/
